How it all started:
Mindfully Together is the brainchild of Urvi Shah - a Mindful and Self-Compassion Educator, Coach and Facilitator. Urvi is a mother, wife, and an active community volunteer in Phoenix, Arizona.
Like most parents, Urvi encountered the challenges and stress of parenting as her girls grew. And while she tried pretty much every trick in the book to get them to listen, nothing worked. After enrolling them in Montessori programs that taught social and emotional skills, she quickly noticed positive changes.
The girls became calmer - and even adopted mindful belly breaths in times of challenge. This started Urvi’s journey of experimenting with mindfulness in parenting.
Since making her family a lab for mindfulness practices, their home environment has transformed into one with a greater sense of ease, connection, and respect. Seeing these changes, Urvi knew other struggling parents would benefit from making this shift in their parenting style. Thus the inspiration for Mindfully Together was born.
Before becoming a mindful educator, Urvi worked with Fortune 500 companies in Corporate Finance. She spent her free time learning about Mindful Parenting - until she merged this passion with her professional life. Mindfully Together officially opened its doors in 2017.
We’ve been taking mindful breaths ever since – planting seeds of communication, collaboration, connection, and compassion to bring more ease into families’ lives!
We empower you to role model a mindful approach to life by helping you cultivate compassion, kindness, gratitude and emotional intelligence. So you can thrive and be part of fostering a happier society!
